Updated: Another Attack by SDPD on The Homeless and Occupy San Diego

This morning at 5:20 under a bridge located by the downtown jail four blocks away from occupy, as I am wrapping up my sleeping bag and tarp, around the corner comes two black and whites, lights flashing. On the north side of the street three blue coats jump out of their car, on the south side, two blue coats jumped out of their car. Within seconds the officers were corralling us like cattle, to a seated position. I gathered my things and started walking behind two other guys already striding ahead. An officer yelled out to me, 'sit down'. I stopped and asked why they got to go, and again tried walking away and asked "was I being detained' and the officer said 'yes' and if I kept walking he would arrest me. So I put my things down and sat on the ground. He said we were being detained for illegal lodging and I told them about code 647 (e).

Across the street one man was body searched and another reading the Illegal Lodging code 647 (e) to the officers, as they continued to glare, their bright cop car spot light on a few individuals. The blue coats took many pictures of us. When they handed us our tickets on the south side of the street, officer Berhalter badge #6208 took a mug shot of you. The car they were driving had the license 1190517. I asked the blue coat clowns if everyone on both sides of the streets received citations and some said yes and others didn't want to say. I spouted off a little and asked if anyone had a camera for videoing or pics. Randy did, but said his battery was low.

As I sat there, detained for almost two hours I laughed at the inhumane actions of circus clowns, carrying guns and batons guarding us like extremely dangerous terrorists. Insisting they had to act like Nazi's for their own safety. What about my safety officer, from corrupt police officers abusing their power and privileges harming weak and vulnerable people in the wee hours of the morning? Specifically targeting people, because of their association with the Occupy Movement. I asked the blue coats if they just decided to take it upon themselves to attack this morning, or was it a higher ranking person. They stated it was a couple judges in the buildings above. I wonder who those judges are? Or was it someone else who ordered the entrapment.

During this event the homeless person that was reciting the Illegal Lodging code 647 (e) also told people about an attorney in town, working on a big case against the city and shouted out his name. Lawyer Dreher located at 835 Fifth Ave., Ste. 202. I plan on getting a hold of this person next week. Many people had to go to the restroom and were not allowed. People on the north side of the street were up and gone, while those on the south side watched all five officers, including one Sargent, act like little kids playing a game. Two blue coats tried to write tickets while two others glared towards us, hands on their belts close to their guns.

There was a homeless man in a wheel chair, with amputated legs above the knee and prostheses on both, given a ticket. Another to a homeless man named Mike, who had worked for craft foods for 16 years and was let go when Phillip Morris bought it. A man who just bought a plane ticket to go back and get married to his fiance in Ohio. About 35-40 people all together on both sides of the street. Many of the homeless don't want to go to shelters because of all the rules and regulations. It is understandable. Many of the shelters are faith based and people don't want to have to be subjected to religion while they get their lives back on track. I, being one of them. I am an atheist and I am a good loving person. It's my life and your life is yours.

It sounds like about half the people received tickets this morning, for being unfortunate, disabled, dislocated, destroyed by people and a broken system. What does it look like when the blue coats show up like storm troopers, at 5:20am harassing people that have just slept outside, under a bridge, five feet away from a 60 mph trolley, a large fan that blares loud consistently and many others without walls? Pathetic human beings!

Updated: I had been sleeping in this location for, four nights, never once given a warning by any officer regarding breaking the law and Illegal Lodging code 647 (e). Each night that I slept at this spot people showed up with gifts. These are the givers of life concerned about their brothers and sisters on the streets. They brought Christmas cookies, socks, water, tacos, coupons, crackers, sandwiches and fruit. Tonight when they arrive, it will be empty, no one to help and be of service too. There is a better solution to the homeless problem than, harassment and intimidation. It is called Love.

As planned, the New Approach Washington campaign yesterday turned in over 340,000 signatures for Initiative 502 which will legalize and regulate marijuana. I believe marijuana is absolutely less harmful, than most over the counter and perscription drugs. It has less side effects and grows from the ground, where fruit trees, vegetables, herbs and many other things we consume daily grow. It is more tame than alcohol could ever be. Let's stop this drug war and the unnecessary arrests, that destroy lives.

The War on Women and Why I Believe in Occupy

Do you own your life, or does someone else? Are you easily controlled by others and fear standing up for what you believe? Women face many obstacles at home, in the workplace and in society. Equality has NOT happened and will take a continual fight. I know. My family sold me to a muslim man, who has entitlements to my life. For the past 12 years this man has terrorized and destroyed my life. Even women, have sat on the sidelines and allowed this to continue. Most of these people claim this is 'gods plan'. I am an atheist. I don't believe in abusive gods, that are not real. People need to stop using god for their lies and abuse, because their are 1,000's of religions out there, which one is REAL? Which god is REAL! None!

What will it take to get my life or your life back? It will take standing up, speaking out and determination. They can put me in jail. They can give me tickets for sleeping on the streets. They can kill me. But I will not back down. This is my life I was given. It is your life you were given. No one else owns your life, even if their religion says so. Your life is your life, to do what you want with it. The Occupy Movement started on Wall Street and has spread around the country, because of the gross injustices in politics, corporations and police departments around the country. It evolved from the protesters in the middle east who have been protesting for their rights for years.

I believe in the occupy movement. I know first hand what it is like to have a rich 1%'er take all you have, time and time again. As the corrupt criminals in our country, hide in their lavish homes and office buildings, I have a glimmer of hope this movement will bring justice to their doors. If you want your life, you have to fight for it. Are you willing to fight the good fight? I am! Are you willing to protest at the doors of the REAL criminals in this country and go to jail for it? I am! Women have been second class citizens for too long. They deserve equal pay, equal say and the right to decide how to live their lives and what choices they make regarding their own bodies. NOW!

P.S. If you believe in god, Mark 16: 17-18 says, you should be able to drink poison and live. Do you believe in god that much? Are you willing to drink poison to show your belief? I didn't think so.

Flags, Freedom, and Fighting

Two days after our Flag had been removed from Freedom Plaza by the SDPD for at least the third time, it was given back. A young Iraq Veteran picked it up from the police department and brought it back to it's home, 'Freedom Plaza'. The flag arrived an hour before, people gathered at Bank of America on B st. and 2nd, to march back to Freedom Plaza chanting loud, 'Whose Flag, Our Flag Whose Flag, Our Flag,'. As the protesters marched toward the entrance of the plaza, their voices rang with conviction, passion and determination.

We were met by another 40 plus people at Freedom Plaza, cheering us on. The flag, that was stolen by SDPD the night before, was ceremoniously reunited with it's people and plaza, as the group said the pledge of allegiance and sang the star spangled banner. A young woman and man brought stuff to make signs for our march in solidarity with Egypt. They also brought awesome signs already made. We left Freedom Plaza and headed for the federal building chanting, 'Whose streets, Our streets, Whose Streets, Our Streets'.

At the federal building we listened to speakers, and then went on the best march so far. We left the federal building and marched through the Westin Hotel, as we reached the ice skating rink people were lined up along the rail. Some with peace signs, others thumbs up, some clapping all excited to see us. We proceeded through the narrow hall way downstairs, past Starbucks and out by the theater on 4th st. Our chants echoed with power and might.

We went to the street at 4th and turned left a few blocks down. When we reached 5th st we circled the intersection, flags held high. We blocked the road for about 5 minutes. Then we marched up 5th st and circled another intersection. It was a feeling of freedom, power and convictions. Knowing that we as a collective, group can take to the streets, use our voices, signs, instruments, and passion to show the world we are not going away. Expect us.

Through out history people have fought for their freedom. As we carried our flags yesterday many carried them upside down, which means distress. The Occupy movement around the country is in distress. They are fighting for their freedoms, flag, family and friends. They did not come to battle the police. They came to challenge the real criminals. Bankers, Wall Street, Corporations. Criminals that are so sly and deceiving you might not see their abuse. But it's there and we are aware. Occupy is Not going away just like our flag.

Updated: Mayor Jerry Sanders Destroys Ocucpy Library, Spends $186 Million on New Library

San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders has a problem? Sanders claims that, 'libraries change lives'. We at Occupy San Diego agree with him. That is why, when setting up camp, we furnished occupiers with a library. Mayor Sanders problem resides with the fact that he doesn't always walk his talk. Occupy San Diego has been raided at least ten times by the SDPD, that takes orders from Mayor Sanders. During those raids, our library was destroyed and books thrown away. Why mayor Sanders, I thought books change lives?

The only kind of books, Mayor Sanders believes change lives, will be found in his new $185 million library that still needs funds to be built. Most of the donors for this library are people that put Mayor Sanders into office. Word is out that people, not corporations would be donating large sums by the end of Dec. 2011. The only kind of libraries and books Mayor Sanders is concerned about, are ones that will help his mayoral campaign in 2012. Mayor Sanders problem is he lies and abuses his power. Books are not what he is concerned about. Mayor Sanders is concerned being 'King Pig', might be taken away from him.

Updated: Mayor Jerry Sanders will not be running for mayor in 2012. Thats why he is terrorizing occupy San Diego. I also hear Mayor Sanders gets 2 months of vacation a year.

The War On Occupy and Homeless People by SDPD

Two days before Christmas, the attacks and arrests continue at Occupy San Diego by the SDPD. Not only are the finest clowns in town terrorizing the occupation, they are going after homeless people, their street homes and property two day before Christmas, a holiday Godly people celebrate. I thought people of faith, who read the bible, knew Jesus was one of those who occupied! Where are the Godly when the weak and vulnerable need them? Didn't Jesus say he came to help the poor and needy? Where are the church members and leaders who advocate for the homeless?

Wednesday evening the SDPD at around 5pm did a sweep of our camp, stealing our food, comfort supplies, sleeping bags, clothes and more. A few hours later the blue coats walked through our camp like militant soldiers searching for Osama Bin Laden, only to find a few worn out and tired sleeping occupiers. As SDPD approached those sleeping, the cameras and videos started rolling. A police officer went after the cameraman Chris and a confrontation broke out (video). SDPD officers are the terrorist of America not the finest. At 5:30am the blue coats approached our camp again arresting Fish.

Word is spreading that Mayor Jerry Sanders, wants the occupiers out before he gets back from his Christmas vacation. So instead of spreading holiday cheer, the SDPD spreads a nasty stench of rank bacon, violent actions and a portrait of The finest pigs in America. As the 2012 elections approach, the 99% have the power to take down a corrupt bastard (Jerry Sanders) that has terrorized occupy San Diego. Word has it Mayor Sanders is the biggest PIG in town, handing down orders to SDPD Chief William Lansdowne.

Last night occupy San Diego was under attack again, by the bacon grease freaks of the SDPD. As the blue coat goats numbers grew, it was obvious their slinky stealing hands wanted to rob us again. Rob us of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They can take our stuff, but they can't take our passion and conviction to stand up and speak out, against corruption and abuse of power. Not only did the slimy thugs steal our stuff, they went up the street and played big pigs to the homeless, removing them from their street homes two days before Christmas.

The holiday spirit has two faces in the SDPD. They have a happy face, when they take pictures for people heading into the theater at civic center to watch the nutcracker. They have a mean face, when they take pictures of the occupiers, who have become homeless due to the injustice that resides in this country. What is wrong with these pictures. Hypocrites I say, No hypocritepigs. The SDPD are not the finest when they blatantly discriminate between occupiers and folks heading to the theater. The real terrorist in America maybe your local police force, if they abuse their power and authority. When are we going to put the REAL Criminals behind bars?

New Watch Dogs in Town Heading to DC 1/17/2012

Occupy San Diego and Occupations around the country and globe will be heading to DC. These vibrant, passionate and peaceful protesters will be arriving in DC, for the opening day of Congress 1/17/2012. These New Watch Dogs from occupations everywhere have an agenda and demands to be met. This is not a hippie-fest, where people are fading away from the problems of the country by using marijuana, alcohol or other drugs, that numb you from the troubles and chaos of life. This is a powerful group of people that aren't gonna sit down and shut up anymore.

These sisters and brothers are brave and courageous. They have endured many sleepless nights patrolling the camp, from the blue coat predators who slink around the grounds of Freedom Plaza like snakes in the grass looking for their next meal. Many have been arrested for illegal lodging, resisting arrest, unlawful assembly, riding their bike, jay walking, registering voters and the list goes on... These soldiers know that heading to DC is about making change happen in this country. That direct action is effective and beneficial to our movement and it's course.

Some of these soldiers are 24/7 occupiers, that have lost everything and have been volunteering at least 30 plus hours a week at the occupation. We are having a fundraiser for the 24/7 occupiers and all heading to DC, as a representative from Occupy San Diego next month. You can make a money donation using the button below. We are also in need of winter clothes and supplies that would make this trip comfortable and smooth. I will update what we are looking for daily. Thank you for what you have done and can continue to do for Occupy San Diego. We would not be here with out you. Donate by clicking the DC pic on the leftside.

Tweety Arrested For Protesting, Occupying and Disturbing The Peace

Monday 12/19/2011 around 5pm Tweety was arrested at Occupy San Diego. The charges filed against her were, protesting, occupying and disturbing the peace. Tweety was sitting on the steps of Freedom Plaza in downtown San Diego, with her tiny dog in her lap, when the crazy blue coat cops made the arrest. They found an old warrant from 1991, that gave them the authority to disturb her peace.

Tweety spent two days in jail. Why? Besides the reasons listed above, in 1991 she was arrested for having a shopping cart in her possession. When the Judge addressed the DA, he was sarcastic and livid, that they could bring such a case into his courtroom. The judge stated that in the year 2011, "he has never seen, a more bogus case brought to his desk". The DA wanted Tweety to spend two weeks in jail. The judge dropped all charges and dismissed Twetty from the courtroom.

SDPD continues their harassment and intimidation. They walk around Freedom Plaza like they own the place. They have threatened to arrest us if we bed down, even though we have read them the Illegal Lodging Code 647 (e) which states we have rights to sleep between 9pm and 5:30am. All police officers that have personal vendetta's against occupiers, need to be reported. It is time to crackdown on these fools who believe they are above the law and cannot lose their jobs. Don't let SDPD scare you, stand up and fight back NOW!

Sitting and Sleeping Can Get You Incarcerated!

Six days before Christmas, the SDPD continues their personal vendettas. Arriving back at camp, after a couple hours at Panera Bread on my computer, I see two blue coats posted up, about ten feet away from Occupy San Diego. Engaged in conversation, eyes roaming looking for someone to harass, intimidate or arrest, these police officers sent a message out. It is ok to be jack asses, that tote guns and batons to protect them, from peaceful protesters. Protesters that have lost their homes, jobs, families, financial security and are living on the streets. All the protesters want, is to sleep quietly through the night, without being marginalized by psycho, human hating, storm trooping thugs.

Did you ever think you could go to jail for sitting on the ground or sleeping? Well folks you can. What is more destructive, peacefully sitting and sleeping? Or going to jail, because you sat or slept on the cold ground, outside on a raining night? I vote on answer number two. Sleep deprivation is dangerous and a tactic the police are using to oppress us, because we need sleep, not want to sleep. Sleep deprivation is a national epidemic. And it's Killing us. A hamster kept awake for three days will die. Randy Gardner, a high-school student, stayed awake for a record of just over 11 days as part of a 1964 Stanford University study. By the end, he couldn’t talk.

Wake up! The SDPD and police officers around the country and world, are the real terrorists and killers. Not all police officers have participated in this brutal torture called sleep deprivation, on occupiers and protesters around the world. But the ones that have, came at occupiers with a personal vendetta, NOT as a peace officer. Unacceptable friends! I recently heard San Diego lost all its watch dog groups. Well guess what sisters and brothers of Occupies around the globe. We Are The New Watch Dog Group heading to a city near you. We are pissed off and we aren't gonna take it anymore. Stop arresting us! Let us sleep! Remember the cameras and videos are always on you. We don't like being ignored. Expect us!

Why is the Media Lying About New NDAA Power for Indefinite Military Detention of Americans?

Why I Won't Occupy A Shelter

Has it ever crossed your mind, that a homeless shelter, is another form of incarceration? It is a vicious cycle out there on the streets and in life, in general. Shelters are usually run by certain religious organizations. They have rules and regulations you must follow, while trapped under their control. If you are a single woman, you have the hardest time acquiring a bed. Women with children are first to receive accommodations. Men have their own shelters.

In San Diego there are about 4,000 homeless people and about a 1,000 beds in shelters. That leaves 3,000 people, on the streets each night. If you are new to the streets it is a scary experience. Under city laws you may sleep between 9pm and 5:30am. Then you must pack your belongings and disperse during the day. Walking around town with all your stuff, loaded in a cart, or lugged on your back. Unless you are one of the lucky one's and get a daily storage locker at Watermans.

The San Diego police want us out of Freedom Plaza. I would rather live in the streets, than a religious run shelter any day. Religion in my eyes is all about control. Control is why our country and world, is in utter shambles. Too many people live in poverty, while others bask in enormous amounts of resources. People are selfish, control freaks, that don't give a rats ass about their neighbors or even their own families. Lies have created, the absolute mess our country and world is in. Religion lies, people lie. Stop the lies and using a religious figure as your instant garbage disposal, for your lies. Start being honest NOW!
