Religious Leaders and the Occupy Movement

Phoenix Woman noted earlier today one missing piece to the national media’s coverage of the Occupy Movement, in their “if it bleeds, it leads” approach to reporting. Yes, a riot is newsworthy, but when a movement grows and blossoms as Occupy has, popping up all around the country, it might be worth contrasting the various sites with one another — and the various reactions of the local police and city officials. Why do one set of officials wade in with batons and riot gear, and others enter with quiet conversations?...
